| Kit is a Member of Aiken Artist's Guild Aiken Center for the Arts The American Portrait Society Juired member of Oil Painters of America and Owner of The Aiken Art Studio |
| Kit's art has been influenced by her idol and famous cousin, Alice H. Murphy, who taught at the Art Students League in NYC for 21 years and and was the first woman to ever teach at the National Academy of Design. She has paintings in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Tiffany Foundation, the Swiss Collection of Carl Jung and many more, too numerous to mention here. She taught her students to follow their artistic passion and to strive for excellence in their work. Kit has tried to do that through her 30 years of painting and selling her work in the USA and the UK. Kit is a member of the Aiken Center for the Arts, the Aiken Artist's Guild and owns the Aiken Art Studio |

| The Aiken Art Studio was formed by a small group of professional artists dedicated to excellence in the mediums of oil, watercolor, acrylic, and pastel. The Studio provides accepted members with advanced instruction, preparation for juried shows, awards for work judged by other professional artists, and professional critiques. |
